South Africa: pastoral visit of the general Superior in the District of Charles Lwanga

This second day of the pastoral visit of the Superior has been devoted to La Salle Discovery College of Johannesburg. La Salle Discovery College was founded in 1966. Its motto “Pro Deo et Patria” is accompanied by this other indicated at the entrance: “Enter to grow and leave to serve”. Cette deuxième journée de la visite pastorale du Supérieur a été consacrée au collège La Salle Discovery de Johannesburg. La Salle Discovery College fut fondé en 1966. Sa devise «  Pro Deo et Patria » s’accompagne de cette autre indiquée dès l’entrée : « Enter to grow and leave to serve », c’est-à-dire « Entrer pour grandir et s’en aller pour servir ». Le Supérieur général, Fr Robert Schieler, a repris sa visite pastorale de la RELAF ce samedi 21 janvier 2017. Il l’a recommencée par le secteur le plus ancien de Lwanga District, c’est-à-dire l’Afrique du Sud où les Frères arrivèrent en 1904.  En compagnie du Fr Thomas SHEEHY, coordinateur du secteur,  et des membres du staff de De La Salle Holy Cross College  et aussi du Junior School de De La Salle Discovery, il s’est rendu à Phokeng dans la communauté de « Tsholofelo ». » Read more

The General Superior, Brother Robert Schieler, resumed his pastoral visit in the RELAF this Saturday, January 21, 2017. He started with the oldest sector of Lwanga District, that is, South Africa where the Brothers arrived in 1904. Accompanied by Brother Thomas SHEEHY, the sector coordinator, and staff members from De La Salle Holy Cross College and also from Junior School De La Salle Discovery, he went to Phokeng in the community of “Tsholofelo”. The community of hope, that’s what “Tsholofelo” means, is a diocesan community founded in 1992 under the hospices of Rustenburg Bishop. » Read more
