Feast of Saint John Baptist de la Salle in Rwanda

As it has been in our traditions on May 15, the Lasallians celebrate Saint John Baptist De La Salle, heavenly Patron of all Christian educators. It is very significant for Lasallians and even for anyone who has had the chance to attend Lasallian Schools. This year’s celebration was special because a spiritual preparation of students embellished preparations for the event. The theme of the year: “LASALLIANS SOWERS OF JOY” was the theme shared during four days before the actual celebration. To make the sharing of the theme fruitful, we identified four sub-themes for four days. On the eve of May 15, the students of both schools organized a social evening during which the dances, poems, plays etc were performed. » Read more

Nairobi: CTIE Graduation Ceremony

At Saturday’s graduation, fourteen graduates received a diploma, jointly offered from Tangaza University College and Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, while nineteen received a B.A. from Saint Mary’s. It was a beautiful celebration, beginning with an inspiring liturgy  then followed by a well-organized, lively commencement ceremony.

Sector of Nigeria: Final Vows of Brother Lucky Maria

Call it coincidence, chance or even marriage of events, the Lasallian spirit calls it Divine Providence. The final profession of Vows ceremony of Br Lucky Maria Oseghale on the 17th January 2015 came exactly 50 years after the final profession of the first Nigerian De La Salle Brother (though not same month).The Canadian Missionary Brothers came to Nigeria around 1956 and in 1965 Br Uba Anslem was finally professed in the same Ondo Diocese where Brother Lucky Maria was professed. » Read more

Thanksgiving

On December 6, 2014 was a big day for me. To this end, I would like to express my feelings of joy and gratitude. Indeed, December 6, 2014 in Togoville, I made my perpetual vows in our Institute. The time was therefore sufficient to persuade me to follow Christ forever in the world of education of young people, especially the poor as a son of Saint Jean Baptiste de La Salle. I give thanks to God for he has called me. He has been present in my moments of joy and difficulties. He placed on my path people who reassured and guided me.  » Read more
