Antananarivo: Pilgrimage to Manantenasoa

On Sunday, May 1st, Labor Day, we Lasallians of Antananarivo went for pilgrimage to the grotto of the Holy Family, in Manantenasoa (which literally means ‘Good Hope’), a village founded by a Lazarist Priest, Father Pedro OPEKA for unprivileged families, 15 km away fro Frenchm the city center. More than 200 people: Brothers, Sisters, Teachers and students of Lasallian schools including those of Centre Social de Promotion Féminine of Anosibe held by the Signum Fidei, those of De La Salle Infocentre Institute, Postulants of De La Salle Brothers and those of the Guadalupana De La Salle Sisters took part in this pilgrimage. Brother Mamy Rabarone, Visitor of the District and the Delegate of the Guadalupana Sisters accompanied by a good number of Sisters were also present. » Read more

Nigeria: All Catholic Secondary School Games Competitions

The highly cherished competitions ever, The All Catholic Secondary Schools Game Competitions, took place in Mount La Salle College, Naka, from 14th to 19th February, 2016. Prior to the tournament, a team of Sports Inspectors came to the school to inspect the facilities available. They were satisfied with the number of quality facilities they found in the school. The team leader and the Director of Sports, Catholic Education Services, Diocese of Makurdi, and Mr. Abraham Veretoh appraised the Principal of the College, Brother Patrick Obam fsc, for his efforts in providing these facilities for the school. » Read more

Inauguration of the Monument Blessed Rafiringa

March 19, 2016 feast of St. Joseph, and as part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Brothers in Madagascar took place the laying of a bust of Blessed Rafiringa and a marble plaque stating him as an academician, a writer, first Malagasy religious, leader of the early Church in the absence of all the missionaries who had had to leave, educator and formator of the youth, man of God. » Read more

Gulf of Benin: Second Chapter

The District of Gulf of Benin held her 2nd Chapter at the Centre of Cenacle Sisters of Pédacondji (Vogan TOGO) from 21 to 29 December 2015. Chaired by the Visitor, Brother Paulin DEGBE, this chapter has known the participation of twenty Capitulants. The General Councilor for RELAF, Brother Pierre OUATTARA, the Visitor of the District of West Africa, Brother Julian DIARRA and the Director of PROYDE, Brother Angel DIAZ also took part. The preparatory retreat was animated by Sister Agnes HEDON, Director of the center. It focused on the jubilee of mercy from Misericordiea Vultus of Pope Francis. » Read more
