Chers Frères/ Lasalliens

Je vous salue dans le Nom de notre Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ, maître de nos vies, de notre mort et de notre résurrection. C’est dans cet esprit que je vous annonce la douloureuse et choquante nouvelle que l’un des nôtres, le Frère Peter Obi, FSC est décédé, ce jour, 22 février 2023, au jeune âge de 36 ans dont deux ans dans la Profession Perpétuelle. Il était directeur de la communauté de Naka et sous-directeur du programme de postulat de Naka, au Nigeria.  Il est tombé malade, admis à l’hôpital et aux soins fraternels des Frères lorsqu’il est décédé.

(-) Les dispositions pour les funérailles seront communiquées lorsque le Frère Godwin, coordinateur du secteur, se serait accordé avec l’évêque du diocèse catholique de Makurdi, le Révérend Wilfred C. Anagbe, CMF.

Unissons-nous dans la prière pour que l’âme de notre défunt frère soit accueillie par les anges au ciel. Prions également pour sa famille biologique et les Frères de la communauté de Naka qui sont actuellement inconsolables de ce choc.

OBITUARY

Dear Brothers/ Lasallians 

Greetings through Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the author who holds the key to our life, our death and our resurrection; and it is in this spirit that I break to you the painful and shocking news that one of us, Br Peter Obi, FSC has passed away, this day, 22nd February 2023, at the young age of 36 and two-year-old in Perpetual Profession. He was serving as Director of Naka Community and Sub Director of the Naka Postulancy Programme Naka, Nigeria.  He took ill and was receiving treatment at the hospital and in the care of the Brothers when he passed on.

(-) The funeral arrangements will be communicated when Brother Godwin, the Sector Coordinator, has a conversation with the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi, Rev Wilfred C. Anagbe, CMF.

Let us unite in prayer for the soul of our deceased Brother to be welcomed by angels in heaven, also for his biological family and the Brothers in Naka community who currently are in shock and disbelief.

Le Frère Supérieur général Armin Luistro, vient de nommer le Frère TOEPPEN Yawo Rodrigue Romain, Visiteur du District Lasallien de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (DILAO). Son mandat court du 1er juin 2023 au 31 mai 2027. Notons en passant que le DILAO est née de la fusion du District du Golfe du Bénin et du District d’Afrique de l’Ouest. Frère Rodrigue Romain en est le premier Frère Visiteur du DILAO.

Le Frère Visiteur Rodrigue TOEPPEN, originaire du Togo, est profès perpétuel depuis le 02 septembre 2006 dans la Congrégation des Frères des Écoles Chrétiennes. Il a servi comme Directeurs d’œuvres et de communautés au Bénin et au Togo. Il a également été Directeur général du Centre Lasallien Africain (CELAF-Institut) en Côte d’Ivoire. Il a été également capitulant au 46ème Chapitre Général de l’Institut. Depuis l’an 2020 jusqu’à nos jours, Frère Yawo est Directeur de l’enseignement catholique du Diocèse de Dapaong au Togo

Appointment

Brother Superior General Armin Luistro, has just appointed Brother TOEPPEN Yawo Rodrigue Romain, as Visitor of the Lasallian District of West Africa (DILAO). His term of office runs from 1June 2023 to 31 May 2027. Let us note at this point that the DILAO was born from the merging of the District of the Gulf of Benin and the District of West Africa. Brother Rodrigue Romain is the first Brother Visitor of the DILAO.

Brother Visitor Rodrigue TOEPPEN, a native of Togo, has been perpetually professed since 2 September 2006 in the Congregation of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. He has served as Director of works and communities in Benin and Togo. He was also Director General of the African Lasallian Centre (CELAF-Institute) in Ivory Coast. He was a capitulant at the 46th General Chapter of the Institute. Since the year 2020 until today, Brother Yawo is Director of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Dapaong in Togo.
