Brothers from different communities in Nairobi gathered at De La Salle Center to celebrate the canonization of Saint Solomon on Sunday 23rd, October 2016.
Saint Solomon was among the seven saints who were canonized by Pope Francis on 16th, October, 2016 at St. Peter’s Square in Rome, following the successful processes required for one to be named a saint in the Catholic Church. » Read more

The general Superior participated in the 8:30 am Sunday mass in Djaména’s Our Lady of Peace Cathedral. The animation of this Eucharistic celebration was led by three choirs… the particular rite in the archdiocese wants the Liturgy of the word to come prior to the penitential Rite to allow the faithful to be better informed about their condition of sinners… The cathedral parish priest, Father Raymond introduced the general Superior of the Brothers of the Christian Schools to the Assembly of the faithful before the final blessing … He took the opportunity to acknowledge and thank the Brothers for their apostolic commitments in the Cathedral parish. » Read more

Le Supérieur général a participé à la messe dominicale de 8h 30 à la cathédrale notre Dame de la paix de Djaména. L’animation de cette célébration eucharistique était assurée par trois chorales… Le rite particulier à l’archidiocèse veut que la liturgie de la parole vienne avant le rite pénitentiel permettant aux fidèles d’être mieux éclairés sur leur condition de pécheurs… Le curé de la cathédrale, l’abbé Raymond avant la bénédiction finale, a présenté le Supérieur général des Frères des Ecoles Chrétiennes à l’assemblée des fidèles… Il en a profité pour saluer et remercier les Frères pour leurs engagements apostoliques sur la paroisse cathédrale. » Read more

Le vol N° KP 38 de la compagnie Asky s’est posé sur le sol tchadien, plus précisément sur le tarmac de l’aéroport international Hassan Djamouss, à 20 h 45. Le Supérieur général, Fr Robert Schieler, accompagné du Conseiller général en charge de la RELAF et de l’économe du District, Fr Marek, arrivait ainsi à N’Djaména pour la dernière étape de sa visite pastorale dans le District d’Afrique centrale : l’étape du Tchad, après celle de la Guinée Equatoriale et du Cameroun. Fr Marc Ndouba Mbaïressem, délégué du Fr Visiteur au Tchad, était présent pour accueillir le Supérieur général et ses compagnons de voyage dès sa sortie de l’aéroport. » Read more
