Abidjan: Founder’s Day Celebration at Akwaba Center

On Monday 16th May, the Brothers’ Community of Akwaba Center in Abidjan invited the Brothers’ families and the Brothers of the three other communities. This was an invitation for the Founder’s Day celebration, which this year coincided with the Feast of Pentecost. Note that Akwaba Center, a work that belongs to the District of the Gulf of Benin, has always considered the celebration with the Brothers’ families as a tradition since ten years. » Read more

Abidjan: Fête du Saint Fondateur au Centre Akwaba

Le lundi 16 mai dernier, la communauté des Frères du Centre Akwaba – Abidjan a invité les familles et parents des Frères résidant ainsi que les trois autres communautés des Frères. Il s’agit d’une invitation dans le cadre de la célébration de la fête du Saint Fondateur qui, cette année coïncidait avec la Pentecôte. Il est à noter que le Centre Akwaba, une œuvre du District du Golfe du Bénin, considère cette célébration avec les familles des Frères, comme une tradition depuis une dizaine d’année. » Read more

Antananarivo: Pèlerinage à Manantenasoa

Le dimanche 1er mai, fête de travail, nous Lasalliens d’Antananarivo avons fait un pèlerinage vers la grotte de la Sainte Famille située à Manantenasoa (qui signifie littéralement« Bonne Espérance »), un village construit par un prêtre lazariste Père Pedro OPEKA pour les familles défavorisées à 15 km du centre ville. Plus de 200 Lasalliens: Frères, Sœurs, professeurs et élèves des Ecoles lasalliennes, ceux du Centre Social de Promotion Féminine d’Anosibe tenu par les Signum Fidei, ceux l’Institut Supérieur INFOCENTRE de la Salle, les postulants des Frères des Ecoles Chrétiennes et celles des Sœurs Guadaloupaines de La Salle ont pris part à ce pèlerinage.  Le Frère Visiteur du District et la Déléguée des Sœurs Guadaloupaines  accompagnée d’un bon nombre de ses consœurs y étaient également présents. » Read more

Antananarivo: Pilgrimage to Manantenasoa

On Sunday, May 1st, Labor Day, we Lasallians of Antananarivo went for pilgrimage to the grotto of the Holy Family, in Manantenasoa (which literally means ‘Good Hope’), a village founded by a Lazarist Priest, Father Pedro OPEKA for unprivileged families, 15 km away fro Frenchm the city center. More than 200 people: Brothers, Sisters, Teachers and students of Lasallian schools including those of Centre Social de Promotion Féminine of Anosibe held by the Signum Fidei, those of De La Salle Infocentre Institute, Postulants of De La Salle Brothers and those of the Guadalupana De La Salle Sisters took part in this pilgrimage. Brother Mamy Rabarone, Visitor of the District and the Delegate of the Guadalupana Sisters accompanied by a good number of Sisters were also present. » Read more
